A small wooden church is built on the spot where St. Olav first was buried.

The wooden church is replaced by a stone church.

The construction of the transept begins, the oldest part of the cathedral which can be seen today.

The construction of the cathedral is complete.

The cathedral is destroyed by a great fire, and because of the Reformation, only parts of the church are rebuilt.

Nidaros Cathedral becomes a coronation church.

A major restoration of the church begins.
